Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Morzine bought PDS lift pass loyalty points??

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We seem to be accumulating loyalty points on our lift passes.

Does anyone know if these points are only added to a card when it is re-charged at a Morzine/LG caisse or online at the Morzine site, or if they accumulate wherever a card is charged up for example Chatel?

The issue is that I have an account on the Morzine site but the site is not working and hasn't been for over a week, I have sent them an email but nothing. You can fill a basket but you can't check out. The 10% discount for early booking runs out next week so I want to get my passes sorted soon so was thinking of buying them online on one of the other PDS resorts lift pass websites, probably Chatel. However I would like to preserve the bonus points and add to them if possible, that said I don't want to risk losing the more valuable 10% discount by waiting for the Morzine site to be fixed rolling eyes

Thanks for any info.

I think I was under the impression that you only collect and spend points on PDS passes? And so it doesn't matter where you buy them.

I know (I think) I could only spend the points i had last year on pds pass.

under a new name, thanks, I can't find any mention of the points thing anywhere other than on the Morzine ski pass site. And when I put the card numbers in on that site it shows me the 'bonus points' accrued on each card. No other site shows me the points Puzzled That's why I thought it was a Morzine thing. I hope it is as you say and is a PDS thing so independent of where it's booked.

I'm pretty sure its a PDS thing, I bought my card first in Champousin and have used it in Chatel and Avoriaz accruing points.
Although, I've just thought, have you been buying just Morzine passes or PDS ones on it?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

You collect points at a rate calculated as Euros spent divided by Single PDS daypass rate x20 on anything you spend whether part area or PDS. The theory is after 10 full paying PDS days (or two 6 day consecutive weeks) you get a free day.

For example if you buy a 2 day pass for Chatel you will still gain points, same for a single 5 hour pass. There is an exclusion for special offers such as off season Wednesday specials, flash sales, 9 day non-consecutive passes etc where no points are earned. Points accumulate regardless of the ticket office you buy from.

I must admit I am not sure about online purchases as I have only used online for specials. I have a sneaking suspicion that only online points can be accumulated with other online points but am not sure why I think this! Not sure if different village sites can be combined.

The only way to redeem the points is to get a free PDS adult day pass.

My strategy recently has been to buy day or two day passes based on the weather and where we plan to ski and use any free days accumulated when I know I will be doing a full PDS day. We currently have about 20 cards with varying numbers of points (don't ask - left old ones at home, had to by new ones for summer lift access etc) and I just top up the highest total ones first until they get over 200.

I think there is something buried in the terms and conditions that makes it all clear. If I can find it I'll post

DJL, the combination of points, or rather, the complete inability to do so is really, really irritating. We must have close to 20 PDS cards with a number of points on each one...

DJL, thanks! Well the Morzine site is still not working, tried it on two pcs and tried a different browser so it's their issue. We already have an account on la Chapelle and it has our cards remembered great! Then I realise it will not apply the 10% early bird discount Sad I am now part way through on the Chatel site and there I cannot seem to add multiple weeks so it looks as if I will have to do sep transactions, I might get there with it sometime today rolling eyes

DJL, thank you.

Well I have now booked on Chatel site but something very bizarre has happened. I received an email from Chatel headed 'thankyou for registering on www.valdiserpass.com' Puzzled

and the content says this 'Thank you very much for registering to our Niseko Internet Booking Site' Puzzled
