In order of most corrupt, I'd go for: China, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Norway, Sweden.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sweden are probably the most deserving, they've never had a Winter Olympics. 2018 is in Asia so it ought to be Europe. Undoubtably it will come down to bungs though.

I'm not sure how comparable they are but it seems like the WO's are going the way of football and rugby world cup. I think a big part of the atmosphere in such events depends on home crowd having their other nationals represent and preform well. SA World Cup for me was lacking after SA went out in the group stages.

Really ?? That's extraordinary
However given how the "modern" world seems to work these days (see Football world cup) then I fear they won't get it this time

Lilliehammer had the 1994 games, so that might count against it.

If I was to punt I'd say China - most cash to throw at it, outreach story for wintersports in world's biggest market, bribes (erm consultancy fees) etc

I hope Sweden. They had summer Olympics in 1912 and, bizarrely, the equestrian events for Melbourne 1956. But I'm hoping Abba open the ceremony from their bath chairs.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

The bids deadline for the 2022 Winter Olympics is actually today 14 November 2013. So the Reuters story above may not be the last word on this - we have to await the IOC's announcement.
Not surprisingly, GamesBids.com is one source for news ... and interestingly they reported on 7 November that a joint bid from Poland and Slovakia had been made (clearly not reported by Reuters), based on Krakow as the host city with skiing on Slovakian mountains:
http://www.gamesbids.com/eng/winter_olympic_bids/future_winter_bids/1216136803.html
Wikipedia has a page on this ... which is confirming 6 bids as of now, rather than 5. All is bound to become clear in the coming hours ...
