Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi All
I know Kuhtai is smallish and is mainly hotels, but what's the apres like?
There are four of us thinking about doing Kuhtai and Hochoetz for a cheeky 4 day ski weekend at the beginning of Feb and although we don't want Ibiza party till dawn, we do enjoy a spot of Austrian Euro-pop / um pah pah pah and a bit of dancing on tables...
I've also read that there are a few bars that get a bit more lively later in the evening too - is this the case?
Thanks All

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

As far as I'm aware, limited.
If you base yourself in Oetz, there should be much more going on.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

mauddib, This will be a very short thread if we're discussing après ski in Kuhtai. There isn't any! Have a look at reviews for Hotel Elizabeth in Kuhtai on Tripadvisor. Many including myself have reviewed the après ski as non-existent.

It's not like Soelden or Mayrhofen but I quite like the Eisbar (Hotel Astoria) overlooking the piste.
And the Dortmunder Huette for afternoon Kaiserschmarrn but that's not really apres-ski...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hmmm I'd read on a couple of websites that although it was more subdued it was still quite good...
I'll have a look at Oetz and a few other places...

Has anyone stayed at Oetz?
The hotels all look a bit like " Heeere's Johnny!"...

mauddib, not in winter, but I've spent a fair bit of time there/going through/sleeping in the car while kayaking in Oetztal over the summer. Pretty nice place.
