Poster: A snowHead

Apologies if I get this wrong. I am new to this sort of thing (web site not ski-ing).
Can anyone give me any advice/recommendations for ski instructors in Les Carroz next January.
My brother and I are competent skiers but would like some lessons to improve our on piste technique.
Many thanks.

Hi Sands,
I've stayed in Les Carroz the last 4 winters and between sking and snowboarding use Nouvelle Dimension - Grand Massif. I did the group lessons for 3 hours in the morning 2 years ago for one of the quiet weeks in January. Having started out on a snowboard I said I'd give sking a try. I was delighted with the tuition from ESI, as I was going down red runs on the third day. I really recommend the group classes for 3 hours in the morning -which cater for all levels. If you want individual lessons definitely and like to be pushed, ask for Vincent Chanel and you won't be disappointed.

Try Lynne Stainbrooke (a bloke!), and American based in Flaine. Very nice, quietly spoken older American guy whose been teaching there for years. You will have to get over there for a lesson. But we thought he was really good in the 2 short lessons we had. It was the year of the crap snow (2010/11) and so the original plan for off piste lessons was a non starter, but he gave us some great technique tips.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've not had lessons with him, but I was working in GM the last 2 seasons and I heard a lot of good comments and recommendations for Lynne Stainbrooke if you want on-piste lessons.
