Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi All
I'm after some advice I have a pair of ski boots and technically there is nothing wrong with them but after adding up ski holidays and time at places like hemel I realised I have used them for 11 weeks skiing.
I felt in feb this year they were still good but it did feel like my heel was lifting
Is 11 weeks too long and should I have changed them by now?
Thanks
Toni

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

The liners in them get stretched and compressed over time meaning they don't fit as well. Get some new ones and you can use the shells for a long time.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It always amazes me to think of skiing equipment in weeks of use rather than owning them over several years. As posted above, you can replace the inners. Unless you want an excuse to buy some new shiny ones. How old are they? Boots have got considerably lighter over time so you could take that into consideration.

Approx 66 days use and I have trouble with them gathering snow when walking in them off skis ie to get into a piste restaurant. I have to get someone to whack the snow off the bottoms which is frustrating.
I did buy them in Bulgaria with guidance from my instructor I did try on loads and felt they spent time checking they were right for me but having seen my mum and boyfriend but them in the uk they got better fitting service.
They did only cost £100 and I was complete beginner andnowcan ski reds and have tried 1 black
Under a new name you might be right about fitting and they are heavy
Maybe I should go take a look in the shops for comparisons

tonsky, if they were good for you as a rank beginner, you are almost certainly out skiing them now.
