Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Two weeks in Sestriere in Feb 2014 Toofy Grin

Found a nice 2 level house for the four of us, much better value than France, much nicer and cheaper than the dolmites equivelant and I don't even need a piste map!

I haven't packed yet although I may well have rooted through the accessories box in excitement. Just got to book a ferry which I've also priced up and away we go!

If I'm honest its my favorite area, nice runs, fun bits to take the (not so) little man off to play on and some good steeps too. Honeymooned there in 2000 down in old Sauze.

I think this will be my 6th trip there so I'm 99% confident that my lift map will stay firmy in my pocket.

After a bit of emailing back and forth my deposit went through today so the ferry will be booked asap just so I can up the excitement level to 11.

Pamski, thank you. Im sure we will love it; I chose it because it looked like it had lots of nice easy runs for Izzie (6) and not as busy as somewhere like Alpe d'Huez.
