Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private lessons in St Martin de Belleville valley

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are taking a nervous 56 year old lady to St Martin. She came with us last year, we booked her into EDF beginner ski lessons for the mornings in Val Thorens. The other members of the class were all young go for it twentiies and my friend struggled from the very beginning. She was told by the instructor that she had to keep up which she found she couldn't do. She therefore gave up after the first morning.
She nevertheless wants to give it another go as she loves the mountains. Can anyone suggest a patient, English speaking instructor somewhere in the Belleville valley please? We are going over New Year but not arriving until a Monday so won't be able to start lessos until the Tuesday, which presumably means group lessons are not possible for her (even if she wanted to give them another try, which I doubt).

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
Ann

It's been a while since I worked my season, but she might find Marcel from Skischool http://www.skischool-lesmenuires.com/ski-lessons-menuires/ski-snowboard-instructors;jsessionid=94B7DB62D7C17D782A50ABD9594B839E.esfinter1 to her liking. He is utterly charming, fun and... - very French (nudge nudge! wink ). Very used to teaching in English, as that is what Skischool was set up for, so not a grunting resentful Frenchman at all. Eric and Dominique were also good. I am sure they will drive down to St M if they need to for a private lesson.....
HOWEVER..
It's a busy week, so book early- I.e now-If you want private lessons-good luck..it'll be rammed! You may already struggle to get a named private instructor. New Gen are as yet a small operation in St M, so you may struggle to get a private instructor through them, but you never know.

You are off to my favourite resort in all the world! I'll be there too....can't wait!!! Very Happy
