A group of 10 of us are heading to Tignes in February, one of whom is a relatively nervous beginner only skiing one week previously.
They are looking for an english speaking ski school that runs in both the morning and afternoon, most of the ones we have found so far are mornings only.
Wondered if anyone could help.

dave#35, In February all the ski schools will be doing morning & afternoon lessons. It's the busiest time of the year 
Try ESF, EV2, Ultimate, BASS, New Generation, TDC. All will give you different options and prices.

I'd give Stewart Woodward a shout on here, he is an instructor in Tignes who is English and might be able to help with either what he can do or who he can recommend in resort that will do what you want.

Ok will have to give one a call, from the websites all i could find was morning group lessons, was wanting all day group lessons.

dave#35, you'll just have to take two groups - one morning, one afternoon. If the nervous beginner has the stamina, that would work, and the fact that he/she was essentially going at half the pace of someone doing just morning lessons, should bring them on quite well.
Expensive, though! Most people find half day lessons are fine (the afternoon ones are often cheaper), and leaves them some time to practice what they've been learning. Not so good for a v nervous near beginner, though - being out with an instructor is much more confidence-inducing, with no worries about taking a wrong turn and finding yourself somewhere too tricky.

All day lessons are 09.00-12.00 & 14.15-17.00 In my opinion all day is a long time for a beginner. They are better off doing mornings and practicing/enjoying their new skills in the afternoon. This will also give time to relax, enjoy the resort & hopefully ski with the rest of the group.

Hi thanks for that looks like only option, learnt in zell am see doing 9-12 1-3 and seemed a really good way to do it. Was ideally looking for something similar staying in the same group lunch with instructor etc?
Also meant the more experienced skiers in the group didn't have to come back for lunch time.
