Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

UKIP core policy also involves taking the UK out of the EU....

Someone must be voting for them though.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Might have been interesting if we'd heard the reply as well, though guess whatever it was didn't fit with the UKIP political grandstanding! Anyone know what Madame President said?

Erm, yeah. So is he applauding the France-first position or attacking it?

As for who is voting for UKIP, it apparently includes large numbers who voted LibDem in the previous election, whose policies are 100% opposite to UKIP's in practically every instance. Bizarre.

Forget what your perception of his politics is, listen to the point that he is making.

He is defending a British ski instructor who has every right to work in any country in the EU. The fact that the MEP (democratically elected, unlike Commissioner Barnier) would prefer that the UK was not part of Europe is irrelevant.

What matters is that he is defending the legally established European rights of a British migrant worker.

He didn't seem to mention about the british company being found guilty of breaching local employment laws though.

Of course if UKIP got their way and Britain pulled out of the EU British Ski Instructors wouldn't have the right to work any where in Europe.

There's a lot wrong with the EU and I don't believe it should have gone as far as it has, but the consequences of a UKIP in-out referendum are concerning. I can easily see countries like France taking a British withdrawal very badly and making all resident Brits apply for 'green cards', new driving licences (retests even), and pay hideous social charges etc retrospectively.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I don't think that's of much comfort to anyone on either side - a French politician would sacrifice the minority of French in the UK as willingly as UKIP would sacrifice the Brits in France if there were some poll ratings in it. Also the French in the UK are portrayed as high earners in the City, so presumably worth keeping. What have we sent to France, a load of pensioners and some unwelcome ski instructors?! Laughing

Agree. UKIP are right wing loonies.
However some Torries also want to take UK out of EU.
Must be a sizeable proportion : because David Cameron has even promised then a referendum if he wins another term in office.
