Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

has a new piste map:

http://www.ldscsnowski.co.uk/piste-map.html

Lots of work has taken place this summer including digging a trench for a replacement safety system conduit. Un blocking the water feed to the toilet. Fence maintenance. A new heater in the club room and lots of maintenance work on the pylons, electrical system and pomas.

The big news however is two new webcams will be going in this autumn on Pylon 5. These will be the highest webcams in England and should be of general interest to walkers, climbers and ski tourers as well as club Members. They will offer views down the Presidents run and the beautiful view east from the summit over Ullswater and towards the distant Pennines.

I'll include a link when its up and running.

Looking good.

The right side of the map is cut off in my browser.

And what's the altitude at the base of the tow? Might be worth adding that to the map.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The piste map is based on an aerial photo Mike, unfortunately that's the extent of the photo, so sundown goes off the map!

Not sure what alt the base of the tow is, but it's 360m long (now on the map).

Looking on http://www.getamap.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk/ the tow starts around 735m and goes up to just over 840m - so a vertical gain of just over 100 metres.
