Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It does but it is not running much / at all as the Waterboard pumps that pump the water up to the Centre are not working well and so the reduced flow is being mostly used for cafe / toilets etc.

Apparently they have not paid the water bill so are having to get it by bucket from the local stream and put it into the tank. Thats why its rationed rolling eyes

Well -- based on the last three days --- they do have and use misting on the lower part of the slope Very Happy Just not very often rolling eyes

Having said all that --- what a great place to ski ! -- Matting in very good nick in most places, amd OK everywhere else (btw I am not worried at all about the grass growing through). Lovely views from the top - and a long enough ski to really get into a rhythm. Last but not least, the slope on skier's left is properly steep Shocked

Hillend is to blame for my skiing at all. A scout trip to Hillend when I was a kid, my dad picked me up, thought 'that looks like fun' and the whole family ended up with lessons at Bellahouston for the next 6 weeks...

If you can ski on hillend you can ski any where! Also if you can ski clean slalom turns through gates down the top of hillend, you can probably look good anywhere!
