Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val D. catered chalet recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Some friends of ours are trying to find a place to stay in Val on the week starting the 25th Jan'14.
They want a catered chalet, near the central village area, and ideally with something hot-tubby or steamy or sauna-like.

They need a twin (simple) and a single or place with a reasonable under-occupancy fee (not so simple).

The place they were looking at (Chalet Danielle) ticked all the boxes but was booked out just as they were about to pull the trigger. Price was IIRC £860ish inc transfers and flights.

Anyone got any alternatives they can recommend? Wisdom of crowds; guide me!

One of the best chalets we have stayed in in Val D'Isere was with Ski Bonjour - called Bivouac. It has a sauna but the building is old, rooms great, well decorated and food was vg. You have to sort your own transport, but I think they do transfers from Geneva.

They only do Val D'Isere. Might be a bit pricey though

Richard_Sideways, I won a holiday with them some years ago and I have to say the food, atmosphere etc was all excellent even in their cheapest accommodation! Pity they fly from Gatwick (and now Leeds).
