Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

a question for Les Arcs experts

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Just booked a 3-day weekend at chalet Béguin in 1600.

So, I understand that it is on a piste? Which one would that be?
If I hire a car from Geneva, where can I park it?

Any other comments (apart from don't go there as that is now too late!)?

Thanks.

If you look at the piste map then it's off the side of the main runs into Arc 1600 (Mont Blanc). I think it's v. close to the join in the two blues, close to where the Health and information logos are on the piste map (2011-12 version)

according to their website you can park outside, which would strike me as the best option...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Good ski in/out location, with a bit of a walk in to the centre of Arc 1600. When will you be there?

bertie bassett, oh thanks, for some reason I thought it was isolated in the middle of a piste with no direct road access Embarassed That answers that then!

the hotel Béguin is just off the main piste down to 1600, which at this point could be called Cachette, Mont Blanc or Source. You can ski easily down to the Mont Blanc or Cachette lifts. There is plenty of parking just in front of the hotel.

Though it is a bit of a walk (perhaps 5 minutes) to the centre of 1600 console yourself that it is closer than the UCPA building.

Though I have never been into the hotel I have cycled past on numerous occasions and it looks quite nice inside. It was extensively renovated a few years ago.

Likewise. I will be in 1600. It looks as if that weekend will be busy.

Ray Zorro, I visit the Avri bar or Chez Fernand for my Apre ski Vin Chaud and can be found in the Abrevoir most evenings.
