Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Try Nortlander they seem to be offering packages from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Prices usually include lift passes so factor that in when comparing.

Don't know if you've also tried Esprit.

Never looked at Esprit, always thought they were geared more for the family market, would just be me and my partner (both 40+) going.

Esprit are families only, their (other) sister company, Ski Total, aren't. Restricted to France or Switzerland if you use them from Scotland.

Well I guess it's too late for an "early booking deal" and much too early for a "last minute deal". wink

EasyJet out of Edinburgh to either Geneva or Munich make doing your own thing quite easy. But having said that I find that flying from Manchester gives lots more options. You can get a night in an airport hotel plus a week's parking for less tha £100 so if you don't mind driving down South on the Friday evening it's a good option. Lots of TOs fly from there and you can get scheduled flights on Swiss to Zurich or Lufthansa to Munich.

I find that by the time you add the extras from easyjet you are just as well going BA. Did this for the EOSB and skis are allowed in sandard luggage on BA.

Manchester is a good choice. You can go by train from Glasgow. It is cheaper to buy a return to preston then preston to manchester. In addition, the train from Preston to Manchester airport is rammed and you can go first class on that leg for a fiver more.

Raddison Blu at the airport is good (I get it cheap with points).

If going from Edinburgh to Manchester. Get a ticket to York on east coast cheap. Then from york to Manchester Airport for 9 quid. You may actually get a direct cheaper if well in advance.

Train from Edinburgh to Manchester airport direct. Bewleys and Crowne Plaza usually cheaper than Radisson.

Why not KLM Edi to Munich and drive?

Ghost Dog, Sleazyjet from EDI to MUN are far cheaper than KLM. I received a €50 voucher from KLM following a delay last year - even using that they were seriously more expensive than sleazy. £172 return with sleazy and that includes skis and a hold bag. KLM were well over £200 even with the discount voucher. For an early flight I get a cheap room at the Ratho Travelodge.

And from Munich the train is an easy option to get to a number of Austrian resorts.
