Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,

Off to SkiWelt in Feb 14 and staying in Soll, does anybody have any good circular day ski routes from / to soll, prefer blue and red runs Smile

Just back from Soll and out there again 1st February. A great route, avoiding the black runs including 2c and 42, (although they are not difficult blacks), is to get the 1st gondola to Hochsoll and come out of the station and turn left, rather than picking up the next gondola to Hohe Salve. There is a chair lift Keat 43, which takes you on to a red run and from there you can go to Scheffau and Ellmau. At Ellmau ski under the funicular and the 2nd restaurant on your left is the Rubezahl-Alm (Mousehole) Restaurant, which is used by celebrities and does great ribs, food and draught beer - number 58 on the piste map. Down in to Ellmau and across to Going if you have time, but watch the clock as it will take time to get back. Enjoy Soll and the Salven Stadl!

Thanks for the link, there are some really great circuits/routes highlighted and there has been a massive dump of snow in Soll this week, with more forecast for next. We go on Saturday 1st February and I will share the info with the other guys who are travelling with me.
