I've only just moved to London and was quite looking forward to giving Hemel a try.
Before I moved here everyone told me I wouldn't need a car so I sold it! now trying to work out the best and most cost effective route for regular visits.
Boris bike from Vauxhall to Euston (10 mins), train to Hemel (30 mins), then bus/walk (20 mins). What a faff!
I might just have to get a car again.

dangerMouse!, We end up getting cabs , sadly there isn't a bus option. Usually £6 each way but more on Sunday. It's great when you spy someone else with kit to share with.

In all the time I've been going, I've never seen a bus at the bus stop. We did try but it's more agro than it's worth - expecially with the change. If you don't have kit, it's a comfortable 30 minute walk - slightly shorter distance from Apsley. Too much phaff for me, I suck it up and get cabs

flowa, nice meeting you too. Shame you couldn't get on the kicker but had a few runs for you, needless to say I had a sore shoulder after an epic fail on the box trying a rear boardslide into switch - ouch!
