Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Welcome!
I have only visited briefly. A lot of easy runs and very few if any real blacks, but loads of off piste - both easy and very tough. There is a link to Les Arcs as I expect you know. Everything built from scratch with no earlier village, like Tignes and Les Arcs which I know much better - though not recently (or is there an older village at the bottom?). There are several villages but I can't tell you which is best. Which will you be at?

Are you working at the Overlook Hotel...? Toofy Grin

Which La Plagne resort/village are you working in? What kind of tips/advice/info are you after?

Welcome to snowHeads jonnny snowHead

There are a few villages which together make up the resort of La Plagne.
Plagne Centre, Belle Plagne, Aime 2000 etc. Then there are the outlying villages around the edge of the ski area such as La Roche, Montchavin and Montalbert.

Be cautious off-piste, especially after a fresh fall. There are lots of little 'craters' that fill up with soft snow and disappear... until you're suddenly in one! Confused

http://www.silverski.co.uk/chalet-bouton-dor-la-plagne/ or http://www.silverski.co.uk/chalet-topaz-la-plagne/ both at 2050M

If it's the latter then you'd better like steps, as it's 80 steps up to the chalet, but the quid pro quo is that it's totally ski in/out and gets lots of sun. Dead easy to do the run back to at the end of the day - just grab the drag out of bellecote (never a queue) and then it's probably less than a minute to the bottom. Nice spot for a cheeky kicker sesh too.

La plagne is under-rated, yes it has this perception of boulevard cruising but there's lots of good spots to find and if you get bored go over to les arcs for a day (if you can blag a pass!)

Have a look at last seasons weather thread on la plagne for more idea - http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=80892&highlight=plagne&start=380 and why not contribute your thoughts when you're out there - http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=101436

oh and if you want to amaze your guest on resort knowledge then http://perso-laplagne.fr/News.htm is the best site by far...
