Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Zermatt Summer Skiing: Anyone Up for Paying £59 a Day?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I was looking at some possibilities for June skiing and, as we've been to the usual suspects (Hintertux, Stubai, Kaprun, Tignes etc) loads of times, I thought I'd see what's what at Zermatt.

Turns out it's shut until 29th June anyway - but is then CHF 82 (approx £59 Shocked) for a day ticket.

Er, I think we may stick with the usual locations rolling eyes - or make do with Tignes as we'll probably be there in July.

Never been skiing in the summer, what kind of prices do you usually pay at the other resorts?

Skied just the glacier in mid-May a few years back. Never again at those prices.

If I recall correctly medlington, Tignes (where we've skied in most summers since 2007) is about €32-35 a day - ie around half the price of Zermatt.

It's all down to the strength of the Swiss Franc versus sterling. A lot of things in Switzerland are becoming very expensive - even a pizza at Geneva airport train station is about £17 or £18 these days....
