Mist, light snowfall and a little bit colder. By surprise at high altitudes there was sometimes some faint sunshine. There is a lot of fresh powder already and every day the snowlayer becomes higher.

A very cold day, a clear blue sky and at the tops strong winds. The temperature was -15 degrees at 3000 meter, but with the wind it feels like -25. Some clouds were far away in the lower valleys.

I salute you 123456 for your brilliant, inspiring photos throughout the years. This last one of four ridges with spin drift is another classic. Thanks and good times for you.

Early morning it was -20 degrees at the tops. During the day the temperature climbed to -15 at 3000 meters and -12 at 2000 meter. There were a lot of high thin clouds and sometimes faint sunshine. The snowcristals at this temperatures are very hard and sharp and this can be noticed when gliding over less steep slopes. It goes less smooth then a few days before, when the temperature was much higher.

Five centimeter fresh snow during the last night. This morning was not too bad with some sunshine and temperatures just below zero. The wind increased and was sometimes very gusty at the tops.
Clouds and foggy in the afternoon.

Big weather differences between the three valleys. Storm and some sunshine in les Menuires. Most of the higher lifts were closed and also some pistes due high avalanche risk. Nice sunny weather in Méribel and Courchevel.

Frosty the Snowman,
The left knee is okay, but the right one without the ACL is less good als before. No off-piste skiing anymore.

Welcome back . 2 hours that's bad, when I was a transfer driver it took 45mins from St Martin to Moutiers once, we passed the problem at the bottom, a French flag waving pensioner in a wheelchair who was leading the convoy!

You were doing it the right direction! Took us over 5 hours yesterday morning Les Menuires to Chambery. About 2 and a half getting as far as St Martin

It took us over two hours to get from Val T through Les Menuires. Once passed it was fairly clear No discernable obstruction but I suspect it was the fact the ploughs were still operating and had been since 3am.

What time did you come through? I wondered how bad it would be coming from VT. We would have been better leaving earlier, I reckoned 8AM would be enough for a 14:15 flight but the big blockage was through Les M and down to St Martin, probably idiots who hadn't put their chains on then faffing on the road. After St Martin it was fine, but it was 11AM by then.

An other record three years ago on a Saterday morning : Les Menuires - Moutiers start at 9.00 and arrival at 13.30.
In 1986 on a sunny Saturday the trip from Annecy to Moutiers lasted 8 hours.

A part of the day was sunny and at the tops it was very cold. The fresh snow was beautiful and at the tops nearly 50 cm high.

A foggy day with only during short periods some sunshine. Light snowfall during the night and morning which resulted in 5 cm fresh snow. Wonderful soft pistes, but below 2000 meter some ice due to the rainfall of last Friday.
