Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ahh scongie the kings races per chance??

I remember or more correctly don't remember far too many runs through very blurry poles where the only difference between doing well or badly was the difference between sainsburys perry or being allowed real Lambrini. Then you turn round to your lecturer and explain you couldn't meet the deadline because you were representing the university at sport.

Scongie, I've been involved with two of those now...and thankfully managed to avoid being given a burning torch both times Smile

I can't remember the last time I had a drink during the day while skiing; I don't think it's actually ever happened. I tend to stick to coke at stops, and carry a bottle of water round in my jacket pocket for while skiing.

Skiing the morning after is a different matter though. Has anyone considered the effects of being badly hungover on skiing, rather than actually drunk?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have twice got up with a hangover when going skiing.

I found that a quick ski run or two is about the best hangover cure there is Smile

Indeed, one can never underestimate the refreshing effects of a faceplant whilst suffering from delayed post-quaffing malady.

Can't remember the last time I put skis on in the morning not hungover or actually drunk and to be honest neither scenario seems to affect my skiing ability...he...he

 snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

I'm afraid I will only go down some pistes when I have had a couple of beers, so my husband and son who are much more competent skiers than me have a better afternoon. If they ask me to go down a piste which I deem too steep in the morning I tell them that is a two beer slope and if it's more then I wont be going down it!

I've not done that much skiing while over the limit but cycling while well over the limit is so much fun. You do wake up with quite a few cuts and bruises the next morning though
