When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've got a petrol XC90 and last year in Derbyshire it was shite in the snow. I'd rather have had my old 950 popular Fiesta. Had Grand cherokee 10 years ago, and that was excellent, had a great run down to VDZ in that.

Off to Tignes in 9 days, and have got spikes spiders at the ready. The autoroute should be fine, cruises at safe speeds 90ish in France, plenty luggage space, good stereo and poor fuel consumption so we have to stop every 2 1/2 hours to fuel up and change drivers.

Let's hope it snows so I can use the chain type things.
