Not quite a couloir but a classic off piste route in a good snow year

I reckon @Inboard has it - that looks like the Breithorn centre-right in the main picture.

Correct it’s the Schwarztor! To the lookers right of Castor and Pollux. Breithorn and Klein Matterhorn on right of the photo

@BobinCH, good stuff. Guess the red herring first photo is of the Triftjigletscher which is also good fun.
I’ll stick up my photo in a minute...

That’s the one! There’s some fun to be had off the Klein Matterhorn. I believe with touring gear there are some nice routes to Monte Rosa and back up via Punta Indren. Would love to explore that area more if we ever get back to normal!

@BobinCH, yep lots of great stuff up there, would love to back sometime (actually, I’d love to ski somewhere other than Edinburgh’s local hills sometime!)
I’m struggling to get photo uploaded - have forgotten how to without super:sH: privileges - so if someone else wants to go please feel free

This is what Powder mag refered to as "Left turn out the door". It's the upper part of the Voie Mallory/Eugster Diagonal.

Close, @BobinCH, it’s just E of Lyngen (so the background mountains are N tip of Lyngen peninsula). Mountain is Storhaugen.

I am starting to wonder at what age one should start to thin out the bucket list to suit the number of years of skiing remaining. Or is realism foreign to the idea of buckets?

Oooh, can I play?
Let's start with one that should be rather obvious. The couloir is in the background. I skied this with snowball and others about 10 years ago, but the photo is taken in another year.

Hi horizon, very nice dramatic photo.
Of course I know this very well, but I'll leave it to see who else knows it. A fair number will have seen it but not many skied it.
I might put in horizon's colour photo of when we both skied it (which is slightly more recognisable), if nobody gets it.
It isn't particularly narrow, by the way - just the cliffs rather big.
As for the jackskier one, I can't quite place it. Zinal is feasible but I have never approached it from this angle if so.

Suspect this is the trip that I had to turn down because of other commitments. Everytime I see these pics I want to hit myself on the head with a frying pan.
Is it Canale Holzer?
