About an hour 20 down the A26 right now, so about Arras? Reckon we would reach Samoens for about 16:00 French time.
Could have met up with @susieski, by the sounds of it!!!

I reckon we'd have just arrived in Samoens in time for a quick look round the village in the light and pick up the passes for super Saturday empty slopes!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I think I was meant to be just south of Dijon by now in a convoy of two cars, six people, heading for Val D'Isere.

Friday 22snd jan could have /should have been en route to saalbach, this year not had to go through the motions of wether to self drive or fly nor the decisions to make as to where to stay but im sat here in lockdown wishing I was en route looking forward to the 3pm saturday skiing a beer or two in the bergeralm moonlight ski down with depending on mood an hour or so in the hinterhag or burgis little bar and a evening meal followed by a restful sleep in anticipation of the next few days. The even more depressing thought is I will have the same thoughts come the 5th of march. role on 2022 with luck

@ski for fun, condolences. If it makes you feel any better, the Bergeralm, Hinterhag, and Burgi’s are obviously closed and completely deserted, as are all the bars and restaurants (although I did see a small gathering outside the Maisalm, as I passed earlier. Inevitably I suspect that there are a few “private parties” that are not strictly in compliance with the regulations).
One of the striking features is the complete and utter silence, as you ski down the Kohlmais. Other skiers are few and far between, and there is of course none of the clanking and humming of the lifts.
