am amazed people could mutter how anything could be worse than THE COST..............................maybe this forum is graced by lots of russians

Definatly leaving the resort is the worst thing about going skiing.
Especially when the realisation hits you that you won't be doing this again for a whole year.

Having to work ya butt off all year to pay for the privilege of a week's skiing. That's the worst bit I reckon...

The nearest decent skiing is so far away from where I live I have to pay expensive travel/accommodation costs and take holiday time off work to go. If I lived in Geneva, Annecy, Denver or some other city near good skiing I'd ski every weekend/holiday.
