Quick update from Muhlbach, all the signs are starting to look promising .. 1) our husky is in excited mood (this generally means that snow is on the way) 2) having just walked said Husky to the main lift, they have put the chains back on the John Deer they use to clear the car park for the first time in 2 weeks 3) the wind is heading in right direction now (north/north east) 4) the temp is dropping quickly for the first time in ages tonight ... so fingers crossed our already good conditions, are about to get even better. The changeable, but mostly dry weather conditions will continue on. Significant amounts of new snow are not expected, however, the period of sunny conditions will become shorter. Tomorrow Saturday will be an exception. Long sunny spells are forecast. On Sunday, further patches of thick clouds will rapidly approach from the west, however, contrary to expectations, they will bring hardly any precipitation. Same conditions are forecast starting next week. Larger patches of clouds will mostly block out the sun. Snowflakes will remain the exception. There is a tendency for wintry temperatures

Very, very quick update. Went for a blast this morning and the pistes are in v good condition, hard and carved up in places, but the snow esp. above (1500m) is good (in addition to the above) we have just taken some guests up to Arthurhaus for supper (18.50 CET) and its snowing, not lots, but enough to start covering the car park again. Gahhh I hope it snows a bit more, just been on the BBC website and apparently the Ski Welt is the only region in Austria that has escaped the recent snowfall :/

Hi all
returned last night from 11 days in Warth (over the pass from Lech)
only had a dusting of snow on the last 2 nights, but overall the conditions were still good on piste
Still able to ski all the way to the village and hotels etc
The locals were all saying one of the warmest and snow-free jan/feb they could remember....would love to have seen it with it's legendary dumps!
Ten days ago went over the Karhorn down into Lech with a local guide (Mathias, local ski school great guy!), conditions were very spring-like but still good fun in places

Kersh, we had about 4cms here last night , (up at 1500m) it is snowing down to 800m here now, but lightly...is there an "impatient smilie" ??

No updates coming from me apart from th elooking out of the window ones... and as my window is about the same level as kooky's, and only a few K away I guess she has gone and said it now anyway!
The main reports I will be issuing are those related to be fitting a kitchen... so far room painted and carcasses up only on the East, a small dusting of dirt and debris to the floor. The rest is still pretty hard-packed. Going to do some carving to fit one cabinet and with the temps lowering over night I will turn on the radiator....

Just back from ski welt. Stop worrying about ice mate because there isn't any. Unless you
yearn for off piste skiing you will still have a great time. The folk that look after the pistes have done a fantastic job in the ski welt area. Some surreal moments skiing a pretty good piste down a lovely green pasture! But overall, apart from
lower slopes getting heavy after 2 o'clock ish, we've had a lovely holiday. Just watch your edges in the slush and the man made stuff! I've had a few "moments"
