@BobinCH, yup if the weather had arrived 24 hours earlier... got flights to gva booked mid jan so will hopefully find some good snow then!

Rained in the village last night. Visibility isn‘t good on the web cams or from the hotel window, trying to work out how much snow fell last night. Was thinking about skinning up Pettneu but unsure if it got rained out yesterday.

Great to ski with you too. Doh! Can‘t work out how to post pics from my Iphone.
Raining again in the village but the trees just above are white. Skinned up Pettneu today and it started snowing at around midday, the snow at 1900m was really good.

Avalanche level 4 today. Galzig & Kapall = all lifts & pistes shut. Hard to say how much new snow there is up top. Valley has around 15cm fresh. Snow reports were saying 95cm base yesterday but are reporting 117cm today. Suspect more than 22cm fell at altitude last night though. Still snowing and forecast to snow all day.

A good 30cm overnight here in Lech with more to come throughout the day.
All high lifts closed but Auenfeldjet is open so I guess we are headed for Warth for the day.
Looks to be stormy until the 26th.

The local authorities in Tirol have put out a weather warning for the area. Heaviest snowfall expected in the Arlberg this week:

Silvretta - Arlberg - Allgäu/Western Lechtal Alps: 100 to 150 cm
Eastern Lechtal - Karwendel - Wilder Kaiser: 70 - 100 cm, locally 120 cm
Samnaun group - Glockturmgruppe - Kaunergrat - northern Geigenkamm - northwestern Stubaier - eastern Tuxer Alps - Zillertal Alps - Tauern ridge: 50 to 80 cm, partly 100 cm

The Province of Tyrol calls for caution on ski tours off the secured slopes. In large parts of the country, avalanche warning level 4, i.e. a high avalanche danger, is in effect on Monday, 23 December. Avalanche warning service Tyrol
In addition, the province of Tyrol explicitly points out that driving conditions for car journeys in the affected precipitation areas, especially above the snowfall line in snowy roads, must be adapted to road and weather conditions!

Very windy up Gampen first thing this morning so not surprised the higher lifts have been shut. Spoke to some people who had been over at Rendl who had been enjoying the fresh snow over there but didn't say how much there had been.

It‘s difficult to work out how much has really fallen as the wind (circa 50kmh) has blown it around. Snowed all day today, was above knee deep in some places today. Anyone coming over for New Year should have great conditions.

@kitenski, We generally ski well above the railway station altitude, I’d suggest looking at the mountain one tells a very different story.

@Markymark29, It will be what it will be, freezing level is going to be over 2000m by Sunday based on current forecasts. Pretty sure you'll find decent snow.

Been snowing/raining at resort level all day, windy higher up so not much open in the way of lifts/pistes which meant lots of people in town enjoying a Christmas beer and some lunch.
