Didn't seem like much snow had fallen when we left.
Monarch flight got diverted to salzburg so they bussed us all to salzburg from innsbruck... Currently in a hotel in Gatwick awaiting my 07.15 flight to aberdeen... Fortunately this was always my plan, while I would have preferred more sleep it's caused far more problems for other people that me.

Should have updated this earlier, but the lifts are running again in Pettneu. Can't remember when, but I know they had planned on opening earlier this season but due to the snow conditions earlier and lack of snow making facilities, they had to delay it. Not sure about pass costs/inclusion with the Arlberg pass, but will try and find out.

St Anton seems to be fairing better than Ischgl at the moment. I'll have to watch closely, could end up taking the postbus via Landeck if Ischgl gets the brunt of the foehn next week.

This unseasonal weather pattern needs to sort itself out before our 1 week outing in mid-April, I love green pastures and rolling hills but I like snow even more.

I'd carry on down to Innsbruck and take the train to Sudtirol  They currently have epic amounts (too much in fact - avy risk 5 the other day, first time ever in that area apparently).

Started raining in resort about pm although that changed at some point this evening to snow so when I left work half an houra go there was a couple of cm's fresh on the ground, more higher up as the snow line when it stared raining was,just below the top of the Fangbahn.

Very high winds up on Rendl this morning.
Over on Albona it got so severe the Pisten Hilfen had to evacuate the top part of
the hill including the restaurant.

Not noticed any change here, the smaller places still allow smoking, and larger places either have a sectioned off smoking area or are non smoking.

Lovely conditions this afternoon, blue skies and pistes seemed fairly quiet. Was only out for an hour or so after work so was on skis so didn't venture off the piste but quite a few doing Bachseite which looked nice.

Folks unless a new owner or someone to take it on can be found St Anton
will lose another restuarant next season. Unforuatley the leases are so much
anyone taking it on will work for nothing at the end of the day.
Lets hope some sense can be made.

That would be a real shame, Floriani is one of the best value places to eat in St Anton... No doubt the place will get converted to another 5* hotel
