Made it up Gampen today. Didn't manage to get far enough over to take a look towards Tanzboden, they're doing earth moving works where the toboggan run crosses the black just beneath the button lifts so loads of wagons and diggers around. Not sure what exactly, too much traffic around.

Yet another sport shop from what I've heard (Alber), whoop de do, although will also be a little snack bar thing too. In demolishing Setienblick they've also flattened Square Bar (belonging to Anton Bar). Just a massive hole in the ground when I went past about a week ago (Stanton's pics are a little older).

boabski, what a knob, people like that should be banned from St Anton, take their lift pass off them via CCTV patrols....maybe Mooserwirt needs to take more responsibility and pay for some lift pass security to confiscate lift passes and put the drunks on a banned list regards future lift passes for 10 years. Something needs to be done about idiots like that.......we all like a beer or two but people like that are a bad joke!

One thing that gets me sometimes is people here (St Anton) complain about holiday makers coming here and getting too drunk, yet it's the pubs/clubs/what not selling them the alcohol. There have been a number of times I've seen people out in states where if they were in anywhere I'd worked back in the UK, they would be refused service and asked to leave, but over here the bars just seem to keep on taking their money and serving them alcohol. Been more aggressive people around this last season too IME, saw a couple of fights up at Taps and heard of one up at Mooserwirt that required a lot of the staff to break it up (kitchen staff came out to help).

This is St Anton Ski HARD PARTY HARD. Its been this way for decades.
Its not the UK or the US. It is Austria & your responsible for your comsumption not the bar owners although they will kick you out (even town within 12 hrs) if you cause problems.
If you dont like it ski elsewhere, simples.
Re. Fights yes also for decades. The best ones were at the old train station bar, I have seen a few folk thrown out the windows back in the 80/90's.
In the overal scheme or the visitor numbers game it is a very tiny percentage. The staff at the Moose actually like it when a fight breaks out as it gives them carte blanche:D  .
Your be amazed at the amount of folk (who are in fights) who come back the following day to apologise..

stanton, nothing wrong with ski hard, party hard......that's what it's all about, but when "folks" get out of control and cause trouble IMO that's no good. I wouldn't expect the staff to stop serving people, that compromises them, but they should ensure their customers are not causing trouble and if that means banning them then that should be considered.

That clip looks to me after the official piste closing time. The local St Anton Article (Ordnance) says there is no piste control after this time the Ski Company takes no responsibility.
Believe me more locals get banned than tourists !!

Once all approvals are now, the start of construction is carried out in Auenfeldjet recently. On the Lech side of Auenfeldjets work on the entrance building of the new middle station (Weibermahd valley) and in the post 9 have started on the Schröckner page in Auenfeld to last Friday's extensive snow removal were carried out with an excavator and this week was the excavation of the Auenfeldjet-valley started.
