Likewise, I may well pack the car up and set off up there over the weekend with my lad; he's 12 and can ski okay.
Given the choice of all the areas; which would be the one to head to for a bit of prepared snow and a bit of sidecountry??

Mosha Marc, Glencoe would be my choice, think of it like a mini Verbier/La Grave in terms of terrain, and judging by the recent pics the lower slopes are well manicured at the moment for your lad.
I am *guessing* it will be also be the least busy......but would be interested in other folks thoughts, especially as I am thinking of doing the same with my kids.....

I'll be in Fort William Friday night with a view to Glencoe or Nevis Range on Saturday depending on weather. Then heading over to Aviemore till Tuesday evening, but may commute to Glen Shee and/or The Lecht just to get as many under my belt as possible.
Happy to meet up with others for a drink and maybe a slide.

This may sound a bit naff, but where are the nearest towns to Glen Coe? Is it Fort William??

think I've skied about 45-50 days this season 6 in France (never ending snow on the PSB) ... 13 in Italy... rest in Scotland... today would be in my top 3 I was at Cairngorm....
every run was good...
greens: all lower mountain was in great shape
blues: fircal,m2+daylodge, 105 all super cruisey
reds: m1, sidetrack, 100m wide white lady... all groomed and motorway
other reds and blacks: fresh snow on............ lower east lady (cut across just where the elephant fence starts)... number 1 gully and over to number 2 gully... ciste gully itself was very good too....
very happy here

Expecting to hike & skin up for a few turns in the Moffat Hills tomorrow then I'm off with my youngest lad to Glencoe on Sunday, we have a room booked in Aviemore Sunday night, ready for Cairngorm on Monday. Long weekends ... can't beat 'em.

shoogly,
Lovely pics, you must have been there reasonably early, the cliffhanger chair had a queue and no empty seats that I saw the whole time I was there.
