There was a Helicopter around Micky's fingers earlier today, maybe related? Not good.
Those are pretty dangerous lines.

There is Mickey's Ears
and
The Fingers
Different places. If you mean the ones above the lake (as in Le lac) then they are the Fingers.
Every year someone seems to die in Tignes by the lake...in 2004 some people came down Trolles and went to the right as you look up the hill. A slide took them down and they were buried onto the lake.
Hope this is a rumour and not true.
Alex

Learn the correct names - if you or your buddies are in an avalanche how are you going to tell the piste patrol where you are?

Kenzie, I somehow don't think I'm going to ski The Fingers!
But yes I agree with you, I don't know where I picked up the Micky's addition from.
That French report refers to the 'hallway of Tuffs, on the bulk Tovière'. Is this refering to the area near The Fingers?

I think they must mean the Fingers. By hallway, it must mean Couloir i'm sure.
Reports dont say of they had any gear with them. I must admit Spikyhedgehog, it looked like you and your friends were not taking the precautions in your photos and you skied the Lavachet Wall also after that new snow?
Be careful...Alex
ps..apologies if you all had the correct gear and i'm blind.

Well, just me and Ali skiied it.
And we all have transceivers, shovels and probes. Skiied the shallow part, one at a time while viewing a guide taking a group down in front of us.
But those snowboarders appeared to have the relevant equipment but didn't fair so well.

A major shock. I met him & Ruby briefly yesterday morning as I was spending the night in the Alpaca. Off-piste was difficult yesterday.
Today is a day of reflection.
