maggi, You could also try doing what i've done and fly out of Luton and back into Liverpool -though i guess you'd still need to get a lift.

Well, I've booked! Out from E Midlands at 13.30 (only one flight so no choices there) and back from Stansted at 21.25. Blooming price increased just when I went to "Pay now" screen! 
Anyway, it's done - and only around £62 each (no skis). Am now thinking, "what if they pull the flights just before we go?" Aaarrrhhgg .......

Curtains, good idea and definately feasible, will give this some thought now as up to now i had accepted that i couldnt go at all.

I am there 8th to 11th Dec, no late night flight back on the 11th, so we will stay overnight and fly back the next morning, which will be fine, as I was going to book a Travelodge on that night in Luton anyway. Can anyone suggest somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay for the night, very close to the airport ?.
If it was just me, I would crash out on the floor in the airport, but I can't expect my 12 yr old Daughter to do that as well !!!

pippivixen. i've heard people talk about the Trente Trois, near the airport. will be about £55 I think, but if you check travelsupermarket you should be able to get something for about £40

My friend will stay with her Daughter who lives just outside of Geneva, but I can't expect her to take my Daughter and myself and I think that close to Christmas, it would be nice to stay at a hotel and see what (if anything!!) Geneva has to offer.

I paid by V debit so only £1.75... but who cares, we are there.
And do we have to pay £10 per hold bag per leg now... that is the way I read the invoice..??
I hate these little surprises on the day..

JT, Sounds as if like me you've paid for 1 bag max 20kg in the hold. I think that the £10 is to be paid if you turn up with 2.

|Ok I’ve had my will I won’t I go period and my flights are now out.
How does the transfer work?
My current plans are:
Luton to Geneva 6.30am-> 9-15am on 9th December
and Geneva 17.40 ->18.25 on 14th December
Currently Inverness to Luton return flights + Luton to Geneva flights + 2 overnight stops in Luton is £170
Does this fit in with anyone?

II, Best bet is to contact Joanne at Mountain Sun to see what she can do for you. Most of us have avoided that Luton flight back though as it is too early really.

A thought, could you stay over in Geneva on Sunday night anf fly back Monday morning, would that connect with the Inverness flight.

II, I'll be in Tignes when you're there with Inspired to Ski, I won't be able to meet up anytime like but we'll have to meet up for a ski if we can that week. Probably Saturday 13th will be alright as that's change over day for the course.

Is everyone going on this going to be testing/using the skis, or are some people going to using the boards?
I think everyone going in October except one of Mogs's group are skiers not boarders.

holidayloverxx, I wondered because as I mentioned before, I'll be in Tignes when you guys are and I'll have my board with me (just started boarding) so I wondered if there would be any boarders in the Dec group. There is one apart from myself in October, Mog's friend but I will be using the skis in October because it'll probably be icy then by the sounds of it. I will take my boarding boots just in case though.

FAQ
. As flight arrives 22.10, getting through passport control and picking up baggage would take it until nearly 23.00, so I'd guess not. I'm working on it still. Possibly a lift from son? - he usually will do anything for vast amouts of money 
. I have to be at work on the Monday
