Windy's ECM AI extended 2 week model has a super light dusting for Lech on the 2nd and 3rd. More importantly it is showing as COLD.
I'm watching the precipitation on the Oberlech webcam right now. Is a bit warm there but higher up it should be snow.

@Thew2002, Something i've come to learn when looking at mountain weather forecasts is that they can be pretty ok when looking 24 hours in advance after which .. they will provide an inclination but be prepared and wait and see what happens... some online forecasts even constantly show snowfall at the end of the week that never comes. I believe these forecasts must be sponsored by the tourist offices of their respective resorts.
There are a million and one forecasts out there, the ones i keep on my phone are bergfex set to anton, great for 24 hours always snow at the end of the week. The swiss meteo app has a great animation radar for arriving precipitation, holfuy the flying app links to mountain weather stations to provide temperature and wind info so you can see whether to take the red or the blue one... jumper that is. alternatively this info is on the local tv channel.
Even though forecasts may predict for instance 10cm in the next 24 hours one can wake up in the morning to find 2 or maybe 3 times that amount or maybe just the predicted amount or less. If you want to keep fit and not go to the gym, help your landlord with some snowclearing

I would not get to excited about the incoming snow..
A cold front will usher in a wintry weather situation in the night to Wednesday.
Polar cold air will cause deep wintry cold temperatures until Saturday, especially in the mountains, and will be joined by a little snowfall down to low valleys. On Wednesday, there will be a weak northwesterly traffic jam behind the cold front, which will still lead to isolated snow showers. After a brief calming of the weather on Thursday morning, some snowfall will slowly come back in the afternoon.
Another cold front will cross us in the night to Friday and on Friday itself there will be signs of a weak, but icy cold northwesterly congestion along the mountains. Extended, high cloud fields will already announce a change of air mass in the course of the day.
*****Warmer air will flow in to the area, which will also be accompanied by denser, high cloud fields on Sunday.****
@afterski, The ECM charts I am seeing are suggesting a return to the dry potentially Föhn conditions after the unsettled period of the next days. Plenty of time for changes though
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@stanton, potentially, the cumulated predicted snowfall of this week comes to 50 cm. Which would be quite excellent I'd say....Let's see if it delivers.

This is all getting a bit technical for you isn't it ?
I still remember the days when you used to post proper weather forecasts based on the behaviour of St Anton's cows.
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

@Snow&skifan, no, Föhn is S/SW. 4C in Zürs in November is not unusual.

Yes updated this morning to slightly warmer numbers (+1 / +2). Still a little precipitation though.

Webcams look good to me today!
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

The most recent ECMWF forecasts show a cooler next week. Now only Sunday to Tuesday mild.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

GFS is suggesting more snow next week, with more to come this week, not in any great quantity though.
ECM not suggesting snow next week though both suggest cooler temperatures.
Whatever the outcome it looks positive for skiing from the 4th
You know it makes sense.

The Cows are still the best indicator and looking up at the cloud formations on Pateriol & Rendl.

Snow will be delivered on the hill currently there is almost 40cms at Ulmerhütte & Galzig..
I was saying do not get to excited as the Temperature is set to rise next next week .
A high over the Mediterranean region will expand towards the region from the south at the weekend, gradually directing subtropical warm air towards us.
The associated high-reaching warming is marked by extensive, high cloud fields, which repeatedly dampens the sunshine.
Towards Monday the frost line will rise ((((((towards 3600m.))))))
How much will I enjoy the mooserwirt opening parties if I only speak English....?

@badatbetting, Don't worry, most likely it's the Germanics that are the minority. There will be many Dutch and Scandi's as well. And Brits! And 'Country Roads' will sound as well for sure.
