Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Strange to count the age of skiwear in years though, given most will only get worn for one or two weeks a year and spend the other 50 in storage.

I have a pair of Spyder trousers for racing (full zips down the side for fast removal on piste!). I've had them since I was 15 (so over 15 years!). They have lasted and although unfashionable I still use them in the snow dome or ulghhh dry slope (if I have to go there).
I have no idea what new Spyder gear is like but will say, although ugly, the old stuff was pretty damn good.
I have seen some newer styles that are a bit more subtle and would certainly consider them.
Right now I buy Peak Performance, it doesn't have big labels is available in my country (Dubai) and it seems to be good stuff that fits tall people. Plus they do some nice baggy cargo style pants!

Damn you people...
Just looked at the Spyder website and they have some stuff that is not obviously Spyder, no big labels and I actually like it. Now if it has the same Spyder quality of the 1990's I shall be buying some!

I've got quite a bit of Spyder gear, as long as you avoided the old Legend ranges which is what the Chinese copied from about 10 years ago and stick to the Big Mountain stuff, you'll get great gear, really good quality, technical clothing with plenty of well thought out features.
Spyder gear doesn't look like the fake Chinese stuff any more.
