Pretty sure Flugel is Dutch... |
And is spelled vloegel (I think - Dutch is a bit rusty these days - been a while since I lived there)
RBV or a variant thereof afaik.
oh and those Irish Coffees that OliviaDB linked looked lush, but I had to drive home that day, so limited to coke

Hot chocolate with cream and rum (or plum brandy) at the last stop before the bottom at the end of the day: luxury but a couple per holiday is enough.
A small sip of Lagavulin on the mountain now and then.

well I completely endorse the calls for Bombardino from anyone who has skied the Dolomites but what about the good old Poire Wilhelms shots (with mushy pear ball) as served in all the "best" places in St Anton, Ischgl etc. Those, alternating with die Jager bombs natch, can make it all go wrong way too quickly....
am off in 7 days so in countdown mode..

in Arabba (Südtirol) we've had ones that taste about as good as petrol, and ones that are stunning, second only to the top grade home made ones. All from the same place.

Indeed it is, that's why me and my mate are on a mission to try as many as possible every time we make it to the snowy hills. Our partners and kids think we're some kind of p*** heads, we call it research.
andy, Some make petrol seem tasty

In Finland Hot chocolate and Mintu (minty vodka couple of them warms you up nicely) - last year in les arcs we had a very nice pear brandy with hot apple juice (at restaurant next to water slide)

Had a Genepi on the house on the weekend at Lo Bistrot in Champoluc. Meal was fantastic but the Genepi is an acquired taste.
Ski drink for me is cappuccino or hot chocolate. Once back in the clubhouse it is beer o'clock.

I was surprised too. Sounded rank when Schneeflocke introduced me to it a few BB ago, but was actually rather good. Had to DIY it a few times in the Sella Ronda though. Some places seemed clueless even in the German speaking part, while others knew exactly. The bottled equivalents never seemed to appeal though.

Quite.
A few years ago now I remember being introduced to a drink that contained schnapps, jagermeister and obstler rum. It was described as a liquid mugging

Markymark29, Coke+Fizzy Orange. Brands in Germany such as Mezzo Mix (which is one bottle that never triggers my appeal). DIY nearest equivalent version is just 50/50 coke/fanta.

andy, I was about 10 and killing myself laughing with the word "fahrt" written everywhere, y'think i'm going to correct my spelling?
Mine were always a half/half mix of coke and fanta, rather than out of a specific bottle.

Pedantica, yep. it was. The other cocktail (if that word is permitted for such a concoction) was opaque, and turquoise.
Richard_Sideways, still see "funny" words after best part of a decade here. There's a business round the corner called "Buttmi".
