Shoppingday in Moutiers! Dirty snow along route D117, but in the early evening all dirt was covered with a fresh snowlayer.

sequoiaboard, also remember that in snow Your camera will under expose (the camera's brain thinks it's to bright) so you need to push the exposure out a fair bit, +1ev at least but often more, this way the snow is white instead of grey.
Also I'm surprised someone hasn't jumped in to comment on that car wearing snowsocks instead of real chains.....

ansta1, most digital camera's have the option SCN. If so you can set on "snow" and you will have +1 ev automatical. This will work on a sunny day, but with overcast you see hardly any difference.
Sunshine in the morning and some overcast in the afternoon. Wonderfull snow and still empty pistes. Temperatures below zero and hardly no wind.

The last quiet day on the pistes. Since yesterday night a continuous stream of tourists is coming in. The morning started with faint sunshine, but very soon the overcast of clouds at high altitude was complete. During noon the clouds came down and between 14.00 and 18.00 there was snowfall. Visibility on the pistes was very poor. Snow on the well prepared flat pistes is excellent. Childrens playing ground at Croisette is adorned with a snowcastle.

Since yesterday night the temperature rose nearly 10 degrees. Springlike conditions and at midday it was +8 degrees at 2000 meters. Strong winds at 3000 meters and a partially open sky at the end of the afternoon. The crowded pistes are very bumpy.

The springlike weather continues. High temperatures have some effect on the snow. Some pistes are soft and others are hard. Overall is the condition of the piste not too bad. No rain at all and some sunshine today.

A gray and dark Christmasday with too high temperatures. Good springlike snow on the pistes, but already several places with brown patches. During the afternoon high winds at the tops, which caused the closure of some lifts.

Last night there fell between 5 and 10 cm new snow. During the day there were several periods with nice sunshine. The rest of the time big clouds came down. The high temperatures are gone and it is freezing again. Minus -5 degrees at 3000 m during midday. Also strong winds at tops.
Too much wind and snow today. A lot of lifts were closed and the visibility was very poor. In the afternoon the wind was very gusty. At 1400 meter and below the weather was drizzly, foggy, damp, mild and really rather horrid.
A lot of fresh snow, long waiting lines and strong winds at the tops. PIDA took a long, so it lasted until 13.00 before the lifts to the tops were opened. Some sunshine during early morning and afternoon. In the morning it was very crowded on the lower slopes because most of the lifts were closed.
Super Saturday. Nearly all components for a superday were fulfilled. Sun, temperature, wind, snow, blue sky, waitingtimes, physical condition and the number of skiers were all okay.

The first day of 2013 was not as good as the last days of 2012.
The day started with sunshine, but during the afternoon it became grey and dark. At the end of the day the predicted light snowfall started.

The whole day it was dark, grey and misty with most of the time light snowfall.
The last trip to the top of the Mont de la Chambre at 16.20 came with a surprise. Clouds were down to 2500 meter and there was a blue sky with a golden sunshine.
It was a wonderful environment with this light conditions and with hardly nobody else on the piste.

A perfect, cloudless, blue sky during the whole day. Very good conditions for skiing, but too many peoples on the piste.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Today Russian Christmas with beautiful weather. Not a complete clear blue sky anymore, but some high thin clouds.
At the tops some wind and temperatures a little above zero.

The blue sky disappeared very soon this morning. The whole day was grey and dark. On the pistes the visibility was low and there were only two colors: black and white. There was some light snowfall and at the end of the afternoon all pistes were covered with a thin layer (< 4 cm) of fresh snow. The temperature has dropped a few degrees, but it is not yet cold at all.

A good replenishment of the existing snowlayer. The last 24 hours the snowfall continued and between 15-20 cm snow was delivered on the slopes.
Not a good day for skiing and the business on the terraces.

After one day long with snowfall this morning the sky was blue again. Fresh snow and quiet slopes made this Saturday awesome. Temperature at 3000 meter was -7 degrees and this feeled like skiing in a winter environment.
It seems that the next days will be less beautiful.
