Just waiting for a reply from DPS re availability of the 112rp , and would like a guide as wether to go pure or hybrid in a 178 cm . I don't do up uphill, so will the weight factor and extra pop be worth the ££££££, or will the bit of extra weight in the hybrid help out in the crud .
Also do they supply via Europe or only direct from USA ???

Arno, There's a bit re supply situation , but nothing re pure v hybrid question
Have dug a little more into dps web site and can now see the full costs of import , but it's the actual differences between the two types I would like to know about

shoogly, Cheers , seems only a very subtle difference between wailer and yvette , apart from the colour , in fact think maybe the "ladies" version might be better suited to my requirements . Any one skied the pure yvette ???
One Snowheads says massive difference in "pop" between the two

in fact, chowdahrider's review on the last page is as good a description of how the pures ski as any.
i was skiing with him while he tested them out and can confirm he knows what he is talking about and is a good skier, rather than a gear freak who over-analyses things

Neilski, boo! although those Kaestles do look nice
There is a new product announcement from DPS due on 3 November (according to their facebook page) so people might think about holding off on the 112s until that comes out. I have an educated guess as to what the product will be (99mm underfoot version of the 112s) but that is based on no official info so take it as you will

kitenski, nope - no new skis planned for this season (although there were some ex-demo hybrid Lotus 138s on the DPS website which looked like they might be good for my mid-life crisis powderfest which will happen in the next couple of years)

Cheers for the advice Arno, I have sent the same question to the guys at DPS so it will be interesting to see what they come back with. What would the advantage of moving the binding forward from centre be? Better edge control?

All, can anyone who ordered a pair from the DPS website in last month or 2 confirm how long they had to wait for them to arrive? I'm just curious as DPS have told me its around a week turnaround which seems pretty quick. And those do look V nice

sd2010, Mine were ordered on 03 October, shipped on 13 October and arrived on 19 October.

Kelskii, thanks. Is typical, ask the question then get e-mail from Fedex saying they've shipped, arriving 26 Oct, indeed a week turnaround if they don't get held up in customs.

Neilski, thanks for the tip on that (and the compliment!), it was stressed to me how important the mounting is. Bit nervous about taking it to Snow & Rock or similar. Is syperjon based near London?

monotokpoint, +1 for spyderjon. I'm based in London and I went up on the train - it a fairly easy journey. Jon was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off again.

I saw DPS at the ski show. Very tempting except that Mr WhiteDot has been the recipient of this years ski budget. By the time I can afford the DPS I'm hoping the price will have fallen by 50%
