When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yes, it was windy in some places, Mt Hutt where those shots were taken was very affected, I went to Dobson yesterday, and that was really good.

Here's some shots I took today. The mountains at the end of the valley are where helipark is. Unfortunately I blew this season's chopper budget on a trip to the UK. It would have been epic up there today.

Had a sneaky 6 inches last night, down to sea level. Managed a quick trip to Mt Hutt this morning, pretty good, not many people around.

A few shots from Roundhill at the weekend. Getting towards the end of the season, so the snow is getting a bit patchy, but we had some fresh today, and a bit more due at the weekend by the look of things. The blue color of Lake Tekapo isn't over photoshopping, it's caused by glacial flour in the water.
