LOL - it's even worse with long hair.
Well, any of those are better than the 'Blood on the forehead - I've just hit a tree' look which my boyfriend sported a few years ago - needless to say he now wears a helmet.

Blimey. Which rep was that, then? (I can think of only one who's given me a tropical moment....but we won't go into that. )

Always wear a beanie when skiing anyway, even under my helmet,

If you can get a beanie under your helmet, surely your helmet is too big?
I have dreadful helmet hair. In normal circs my hair is very fine but curly and requires "product" to make it look anywhere near reasonable. When it emerges from under the helmet it has gone flat, straight and fluffy. No option of "swooshing it up" as that makes it worse As I am now required to wear a helmet when teaching at Hemel I have to deal with this a couple of times a week, not just on hols. At the moment I can't decide whether to have my hair cut really short (makes me look like my mum though!) or just struggle on with it and try not to care.
Spydie also takes delight in trying to take photos of me in my un coiffed state which of course makes me mad!

Kitty, I wouldn't get it cut, that would be a shame and it would probably end up worse - mine is short (ish now I've started growing it). I think we need to take the "sod it" attitude.

thefatcontroller, I dont care what the men think, I dont want to look a state!
However I strongly doubt your claim as to fancying some sweaty manic beast covered in snow rather than someone who looks well groomed.

I love my beanies, too, and it's a good chance to wear them!

Great thread. I have short spiky hair and always use wax/gel. So when I take my helmet off and reveal hemlet head I just use some snow nearby to wet it to get it back into shape. Simple.

I just slide off my scrunchy gather up my longish hair again and tie it back into a ponytail style and forget about it. I am generally to be found with a buff like whatsit on my person and have pushed this into service on occasion that the scrunchy has done a disappearance.

I love this thread!
Helmet hair is a fact of life. I have mid length hair so I just shake it out and hope that everyone who can be arsed to register the state of my hair has the same attitude as thefatcontroller.

Just put up with it. Skiing's a sport, when I'm out for a run or playing netball I get all hot and sweaty and my hair generally doesn't look that great then either!
