Can't you notice the ski poles stuck in the ground. Oh and they don't reach to the bottom. But in the trees yes there was 2' of freshies in there.

Yes there are some steep runs here. Dynamite, Vertige, Zigzag but they are short shots. The real steeps are not on the trail map.

Just to let you all know. Tremblant will not be opening this weekend, and looks like we will not open until Dec 5th possible. The entire East Coast of North America has no snow

Due to very mild temps and the possibility of H2Oing over the next two days they are delaying opening until Dec 8th. No I do not know how this will effect the 24hrs race but I will find out for you.
This is the message I received from Station Mont Tremblant
"The mild temperatures, which continue, are again forcing us to delay the start of ski season. The opening date is planned for Tuesday, December 8th or as soon as we are sure that snow conditions are in line with our high quality standards so that our guests can enjoy their experiences on the snow.
We are extremely conscious of any inconvenience caused by this situation, which is beyond our control. Please be assured that Tremblant is doing everything possible to offer the best experience by offering many different activities for the whole family and entertainment in the village.

What are Bromont and Jay Peak like in comparison to Tremblant?
I'll be in Montreal for a bit in January/Feb. Most of my skiing has been in the Alps hardpack/cruddy off piste stuff - any difference in condition in Quebec/East Coast (apart from the cold!  )

Jay Peak rocks. Get's tons of snow. Cheaper than Tremblant as well to be honest, but no village or amenities.
