I'd like to tackle the reds with gusto & enthusiasm (rather than the whimper/whine approach of last year - Sorry Euan!), I'd also like to have a go at the race this year so feel free to give me jip if I start to wuss - even if I do offer to be your photographer for the day

If you are thinking that you'd like to move to the next-higher level of terrain, what does that really mean to you? Does it mean that you'd like to develop skills that will serve you well on that terrain? Does it mean that you need to overcome your mental blocks and/or fear of that terrain? Or just that you want to do that even if it's on your back?

skills and mental block. I find that by the end of the week in North America I can tackle easy blacks, don't mind steep as such as long as there aren't any moguls. 1st few days I just look at it and can't imagine how I'm goign to get down. If I had confidence in my technique I wouldn't have the mental block.

We had 2 boarders who tried the 'Photographer' trick at the MSB. Admin has now got it totally sussed - he let them take all the photos then he 'cajoled' them into doing the course any way !

I've been told I ski like a 80s French ski instructor ie Still ski with me knees locked together. I'm sick of looking like a gay monoskier and would love some pointers.

kiwi1, that would be a 1-1 updating lesson then would it? make sure you click the right buttons when the form comes out.

You see, until admin gets the forms done, this thread is all we've got. I thought some of you might like to chat with a couple of the instructors for the EOSB (easiski and me) and let us know your thoughts. Of course, she's met many of you before. I've met a few who have visited the States and/or an ESA or two. But, I find that chatting about these things beforehand sometimes helps folks. If it does, continue on. If not... never mind!
