Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think you might be underestimating the traumatic effect of being laughed at by skimottaret (see pam w's post)

Also, I spent a few hours skiing with a (male) snowHead (who is normally based in L2A) in Serre Chevalier some years ago. The button lift said 'experts only' or some such and, as we both considered ourselves to be reasonably expert, at skiing if not at poma lifts, up we went. It lifted me completely off my feet - that's not uncommon for a pixie, and it wasn't ultimately a problem - but I swear said snowHead's voice was an octave higher for the rest of the afternoon.

I’ll admit I’ve never been to PDS but have been to numerous resorts in France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Lifts are just something I never really notice or have an issue with. The only problems I’ve had is with what I consider overcrowding in some cable cars (literally couldn’t stand up straight in one in the Dolomites a couple of weeks ago). This might be because I’m short and claustrophobic though.

Think this might be because I skiied for a number of years in Australia, NZ and Japan before doing a Europe trip. I love Japan but they sure have some old lifts over there. Some resorts they’re pretty much all of the ‘calf slapping’ variety.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
