Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is there a Chateau Whistler equivalent in Europe?

Nobody said anything about ski in/out in Sallanches, @BobinCH. Laughing But as lots of people, especially French, American, Austrian and Swiss people, drive short distances to ski @mountainaddict's experience of staying in a nearby cheap hotel is interesting. Yes, the IBIS budget in Sallanches is relatively new (well, maybe 10 - 12 years old now....I lose track of the years. I used to drive past when they were building it) and I've always thought it would be a good base. Easy access to Flaine, the PDS, Megeve, the Espace Diamant, Les Contamines, St Gervais. And that nice little place where Idris is working. OK - it's thread drift... stimulated by the thought of paying £400 a night for a hotel. wink

Pre-pandemic, I went skiing in Whistler most years, staying at the fantastic Chateau Whistler hotel.

I'd love to find somewhere equivalent in Europe if it exists. I am essentially looking for a hotel which:
Is ski-in-ski-out
Has an outdoor heated jacuzzi and/or swimming pool, where you can have apres-ski drinks
Has a spa with good massages
Has a decent enough range of runs, with fairly dependable snow around Christmas……

Ibis Sallanches?!?!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
