Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Layne, Yes, that is the plan. It's not quite as bonkers as it sounds. I'm an Historian, often writing articles about various things, this is the semblance of an idea that I haven't entirely thought through, as you've no doubt noticed.

The starting point would be the Fischer SC4 supercarves that I had in 99 but I can't track down who I sold them to on E-Bay and they are probably long gone anyway. The nearest I can find are on sellers sites online but too short.

I really want to get hold of some 183cms ones and take them back to the first resort I used them in. I'm sort of hoping that this might inspire the rest of the article but if not what a fun thing to do after being locked down for so long.

@Layne, Yes, Ive managed to get some original ones from 1963 held together by cat gut... Very Happy

No I'm just kidding Ive got a pair of Salomons for all mountain and a stiffer pair of Nordicas for the piste. Both from this century you'll be relieved to hear Very Happy
