On second thoughts I did once ski down an outside flight of stairs, well covered in new snow, from the bottom of a piste into an empty car park. Rather sudden compression at the bottom. (Just an attempted short-cut guv, honest . )

I used to ski down flights of stairs for a laugh when I was at university. It's obviously not that difficult but you do need to reduce the angle between the last stair and the flat ground surface, otherwise you could come to an abrupt halt. Also, check you have sufficient run-out at the end. Spiral stair cases were too difficult, however. Avoid using poles, unless you want to have an encounter with a balustrade!
