When heli skiing started here, guests were asked to name the runs as and when they were first skied. Mike Wiegele has one, a massive bowl with no trees or hidy holes except a big rock half way down.
Ladies heliskiing always moan about the fast pace and lack of oppertunity to 'p' and on seeing the rock Nancy told the guide to take the rest of the group on while she had a rest stop... Needless to say the guide got on his radio and and the helicopter with the next group flew over and....
The run is named Nancy's Relief...
nbt, Fraggle rock has been good this year! Loads of snow everywhere.

all this thread proves is how lame piste names are compared to rock climb names. These classics date back to the 60s:
Cemetery Gates
Cenotaph Corner
Dream of White Horses (yes, on a sea cliff)
and this earlier I think
Kipling Grooves (becauses it's "ruddy 'ard", or was by prevailing standards)

I always think that there should be a Blair Witch Project run.

There's always plenty of locals' names such as Star Wars & Endor for tree runs as well as the spectacularly imaginative Christmas Tree.
