Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@nixmap, I'm not sniping. It's just that I, and I would imagine a lot of people, wouldn't spend my holiday time and money to sleep in a bunkhouse. Not even to visit my best friends.

I also wouldn't invite anyone to spend a holiday with me and expect my friends to do this.

But I hope you all have a great time and nobody falls out.

Exactly. I was only joking, not being nasty Puzzled

Snowheads are certainly no strangers to "sniping" but this whole thread is a bit of banter - "The Nixmaps" have explicitly stated over many threads that the reason they look for "volunteers" rather than hiring "staff" is because they are quite picky about what works for them and they want a couple who'll fit in with their weekend parties with all their friends.

Is Nixmap not a really wealthy dude/ette?
Just rent the place and I'm sure a few will come and crash for a few days for the big party
Bunks etc don't matter for a place to crash for a few hours.
I'd go myself only I hear it's wild dear in Swiss but I'm sure be a big spread and loads of drinks laid on.

Fair enough. I guess we all like privacy then, Smile
I figured some how wee needed a budget option.

No matter, doesn't seem there is enough interest anyway.

I wouldn't abandon the idea just yet. Given the history, it's not surprising that you've been subjected to a bit of banter.

I think it's a good idea. Weirdly, I quite like sleeping in dortoirs - it sort of strips away all the complications of normal life. The last time I stayed in a place like this was with a group in Zermatt, and that had an option of a large well equipped kitchen for guests to use for communal catering, which was also quite fun. I'd be interested, but my March skiing is already sorted.

Why not let it run a bit longer and see what happens?
