I just got back from Livigno last night. At least 40 cm of snow fell in the last 2 days, it was great!
That was my first trip to Livigno but it was great, very inexpensive and great apres ski. The transfer was rough, we had a 2 hour wait for the car-train yesterday!

Just back from Sauze D'Oulx, must have had 40cm + over 3 days and it was still snowing when we left.

Just back from passo Tonale 28/1 - 4/2
Big dump of snow on 27/1/06, luckily Bergamo airport was reopened in time for our flight.
Loads of fresh snow on arrival
Blue skies and sunshine all week. Pistes holding up very well despite the warm temperatures. 5 degrees at 2000m on Thursday!!!
All in all excellent conditions

Just got back from Livigno today (after a long 15 hour journey from Livngo to Glasgow via Manchester airport!!) and have to report skiing conditions were near perfect all week. Big dump as Johnboy has reported above hit Livigno on 26th/27th and from Sunday onwards clear blue skies and mild (dare I say, warm conditions) but snow kept well.
Sadly Bormio seemd to miss most of the dump.....only a few inches there...weird as Bergamo and Livigno got hit bad.
What time was your flight home this morning from Bergamo John?

stu20vt,
We were on the 11.35am flight to belfast (Mytravel)
Yeah, the snowfall was pretty sporadic, loads in Bergamo on arrival but not much enroute to resort, until we went above 1000m.

bigtoe, Serre Chevalier is not doing too bad when you compare it to the others. Its' about 20 mins drive to the lifts in Briancon (1 day free on your ski pass I think). As the Olympics are in Sestriere from the 10th, I don't think there are many pistes open.
