If you are seeking good stuff in Thonon there is a farm just up the hill in Publier that produces the most superb cheese. Ferme Prarial - just about the only decent stall in the Chatel Wednesday market. Always has the longest queue. Thin chap with a moustache and Savoyard hat behind it. Don't expect quick service though. Part of the slow food revolution perhaps!

I will stay out of food related threads from now on, each to their own I suppose. My "anything as long as there is a lot" approach to food consumption probably doesn't quite fit in here among those with such exquisitely refined palates. . ps.The Barbossine black run has become my favourite in the PDS(when in flattering nick) hence the name choice.
