That only works if you're 15. If you're older than thirty, it doesn't make you look like a pro, but makes you look like you're trying to be 15

I recall a Christmas Eve display of "Skiing through the Ages" which included a team of lycra-clad ESF instructors skating uphill on XC skis. Their quads (and glutes) were glor - or - or -or - or - or -oria to behold.

What is the recommended way to haul about a fully rockered pair of skis fitted with tech bindings then? I see only embarrassment in my crystal ball for the next trip because there is zilch camber to spring against the brakes. It might come down to practicing in the garden (after dark).

Original post - use a chopper rather than carry one's gnarly touring setup around resort, clearly being a gnarly mountain dude.
Response as to your question as to why to use a chopper, because it's better than zig-zagging up a hill on your tech touring bindings (implication being that I'm a lazy sod).

Just because someone has bought "the kit" doesn't mean they are hardcore, or even use it! I remember chatting to a Ski Club GB rep back wehn I was doing seasons. He was sporting a new Fritschi/Pocket Rocket combo of which I was somewhat jealous on my Atomic Beta Ride misery sticks. "The skins must cost a bomb for thos things" I said, to which the response was, "I've not got any skins, these are my powder skis" was the the response. "So why touring bindings?" I enquired to which I got the answer "They look the part"..........

So, you use this "chopper" to cut the skis into small pieces, then carry them up there in a sack I guess?
As this is discussing a "cheat's guide", you'll not generally hear heli people talking about their "choppers"
