Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I certainly drink more on holiday - though I'm having 4 days off the booze between taking sister and BiL to Gva yesterday and driving down to Arabba on Saturday. I don't eat more, though I eat differently. I don't want to pay good money to put on weight and then bang on for weeks about about losing it. One of the reasons I shall never go on a cruise.

@FiFi_Trixibell, Amen to that. I think our group set personal records at last year's trip from Bournemouth to Sauze. A pint of Stella at 4.30am. Completely wrong, but just has to be done! Same as a gin and tonic when on any plane.

@Dav, Haha....Glad it's not just me! Though last time I flew from Bournemouth, there were a couple of guys buying Guinness and it was 3am. If It'd have been gatwick and I'd been awake for a few hours I'd probably be joining them with a beer but given I'd practically rolled out of bed and rocked up to the check in, that felt just a tad too heavy! But regardless - holiday is definitely where the day to day rules can get binned so what the heck!

@pam w, +1 on the cruise comment! I don't ever want to go on a cruise period but maybe that's more about being confined to a floating casino/entertainment centre
